Two recording apps work that work well are Fraps or the Enjin client.

http://www.enjin.com/client

They both work really well.

THanks NOrth, I have been using Fraps but I may give this client a try and see how it affects my fps in game!

I use the enjin client since it is free and have no issues at all. Works very well for me.

Guess I will give it a shot tonight. Fraps has a tendency to eat up a lot of resources resulting in a 10-20 fps loss at times during big fights. Not to mention their footages tend to be 1GB+ for 1-3 mins of recording. Heard enjin is about 60MB for 4 mins.

Is the editing within the app itself or do you use another program?

there's an app called Dxtory aswell, I use it mainly to cap the fps (since vsynch causes lag and you do not really want higher fps than your monitors refresh rate )

it can record too but I've never bothered trying

it's 2013 people, stream games live basically means recording since it will be archived + it does not use up any of your HD space
